Buggernuts. It's only December and I've decided I hate this year of university already >:T

I hate that we've been given like 4 assignments and a dissertation to do at once, I hate that the teacher I worked with for 2 months turned out to be a jackass, I hate the fact that Crewe Library never has the books I need, I hate my university's car park (which students are no longer allowed to use.... go figure?), I hate that ugly dog from the house across the road that stares at me, I hate the smell of celery, and I especially hate the fact that I live with a tonedeaf Zimbabwean who happily screams out Jesus songs at 9-in-the-goddamn-morning on my one day off.

Although, admittedly, she's kept it down since I threatened to break her limbs.

I'm actually trying to force myself to relax as it's nearly Christmas holidays, but then the whiney little voice in the back of my skull reminds me I have SOOOOO much work to do~ I've not even decided what I'm going to write my dissertation about yet :Ic

I've been so grumpy/upset over uni stress that Mike ended up giving me a Christmas pressie early to cheer me up:

Azeroth has somewhat kidnapped my soul again, I made the mistake of returning to World of Warcraft, and now that's all I want to do... ever.
My guild has somewhat died though; I'm debating creating and leading my own, but then I really would have no time for, y'know, my degree? Also I need to think of a catchy name for my guild first, like... <OMINOUS LATIN NAME> or something. Any suggestions??

I re-rolled my Druid so now I can duel spec as either a Kitty Druid or a Moonkin Druid, I only just realised just how fucking awesome Boomkins are, I really want to draw one c:

BAH. It's been so long since I've even looked at my DA ;m;

I despise teaching placement every year as it robs me of any free time I MIGHT have! Ah well only 2 more weeks then no more placement... ever *sob* I'm so happy! No more teaching my arse off without getting paid!

In other news; I think I caught the plague :I
One of the kids in my class mentioned their dad had Swine Flu, I thought nothing of it at the time but then ended up getting horribly ill overnight on Sunday and I'm still suffering now - thankfully I don't actually think it is Swine Flu, I think it's just regular, less popular, flu - but it still sucks.

So I've been off from teaching since Monday as any mention of "flu" sent my school into a panic and they told me to stay away~

One thing, however, has lightened my flu misery ... ~*POKEMON*~

Ever since I heard about the Pokemon Gold and Silver remakes I've been whining like a child for them to get their butts over here on the European markets already! But for me and my fellow Euro-dwellers, we know that won't happen for YEARS. Gold and Silver were my all time favourite games! ;m; Well technically Silver, I never owned Gold as I didn't like the look of Ho-oh - Lugia is clearly more badass. Pretty much all my favourite Pokemon were from the Johto generation.

Gold and Silver were like a Pokemon revolution though! The game was finally in colour, a plethora of new things to do was added in the game, the Pokemon looked amazing and not so pixely and unlike the games that followed, the Pokemon themselves were all so beautifully designed and still, like the first 151, totally orginal!
The whole series was doing beautifully - I even loved the cartoon and the movies at this point... haha I even own the Pokemon Johto soundtrack :'Dc

So, long story short, in sheer desperation (and persuading by Mike) I invested in a Japanese copy of Soul Silver



It's just as I remember it, but with the beauty of the DS-level graphics! Of course some things have been changed but that's to be expected. Also, I was a bit anxious about getting a foreign language version at first but it's actually proved really useful! As it's aimed at children (not 23 year old dorks named Ellie), the Japanese is so simple (not a single kanji character in sight!!) I can, shockingly, understand the majority of it! I'm so proud /dork



Although, in all honesty, I think most people could understand the Jap version as you generally skip through the boring text anyway.

I'm still trying to get the hang of the PokeWalker device :Tc



For those that don't know; the PokeWalker is like a pedometer you cram a Pokemon into so that when you're out and about the Pokemon can actually gain a little EXP just from you walking and getting exercise! You can also find ~*SPESHUL ITEMS*~ through using it.

In Gold and Silver tradition, I chose to play as a boy (because back then girls weren't allowed to become Pokemon trainers ... or vote) mostly because the girl in HG/SS looks like a complete dick.



And had to choose the adorable, big-mouth, Totodile as my first Pokemon!! *w*



Although I'm sneaky and bred a ready made team over on Pearl and traded them over so I actually have all the staters now :Vc



So that's all there is to say about my boring life atm! Teaching still sucks but my degree is FINALLY in my sights, and the Pokemon remakes are badass. I'll finish placement on November 27th when I hope I'll actually have time to draw again for once haha. I miss you guys :C

So last week my girlfriend, Mike, came over to stay for a while C:

It was awesome! My mum saw an ad for that Walking with Dinosaurs live show thing and decided it looked "fun". As a result she bought tickets for us to go see it at the Nottingham arena.



I've even uploaded a video of a mum T-rex all "STAY AWAY FROM MY BABBY MOTHERFUCKERS >:V" - best part of the show, then again everyone loves T-rex; they're like the popular kid of dinosaurs. She even then tried to eat the palaeontologist/narrator man. Oh T-rex...

I also ended up buying too much from the gift shop, including some T-rex gloves that render your hands totally useless and a tail as I figured they would look cool if I ever taught about dinosaurs idk.

It was only later I realised they made me look like a furfag :T

I also bought a toy of a Torosaurus because of his ADORABLY LARGE HEAD



I even drew a T-rex in the back window of my mum's car on the way home - have you ever tried drawing on the window of a moving car? Harder than it looks >:I



The next day we went to see Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs in THREEEEDEEEEE~ Which was super fun too! I really enjoyed it even though most critics think it's a grotty movie

I liked the new characters when I didn't think I would; like the babby dinos, WhoreScrat and Buck voiced by the fantastic Simon Pegg.

All in all a Dinosaur themed week



In other news, Mike just bought me a DA subscription - I only just noticed yesterday ;m;

All my bitching about how ugly DA is when it's plastered by ads must have got him thinking jeez.

I so owe him a beautiful pic now! Man I owe WAY too many people pictures now, hell I've owed one since forever ago! I'm such a dick...

It's ok, someone can kick my babies.

I've gotta be brave and tear myself away from the fun of World of Dorkcraft long enough to actually draw again FFFFFFFF

So I finally got all that pain in the ass university work done and moved all my crap back to my parent's house (it took all the room in my rubbish little car and my mum's 4x4!!) and I've been enjoying the Summer - especially as we're actually having some summery weather here in Rainland.

Problem is, I've been enjoying my free time a little too much - I have been job hunting cause I'm, well, poor. But I made the mistake of reactivating my World of Warcraft account and now I kinda can't stop playing :'Dc

I only ever play on my Druid when Mike's online with his Shaman cause we've levelled together since like forever - BROMANCE
But I started a hunter alt 'cause, well, they're like the WoW equvalent of Pokemon Trainers *w*

She's already level 40 and I had her fully exhalted with Darnassus to get the SPARKLETIGER MOUNT by 35

I just love how they make our old (current) forms look so laughable. Especially Tauren cat - haha stupid moocow droods.
The colour you'll get depends on your character's hair colour - as mine has purple hair that means I'll have the pink kitty form. IT'S LIKE FATE Y'KNOW

So yeah, I know this journal is probably irrelevant to most of you who may look at it, so long story short = I'm a dork, I play WoW too much, I clearly need to attend WoW rehab.

AS FOR YOU. WHY AREN'T YOU PLAYING WOW HUH??? THEY'RE NERFING EVERYTHING SO IT'S SUPER EASY TO LEVEL NOW. YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE >:T
